Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, Sept 8-10, 2008
Charisma Careers Pvt. Ltd (Formerly known as Gramya Research Analysis Institute) has planned a Conference on New Trends in Piping & Pipeline Technology, at Ahmedabad in the month of Sept 2008.
Papers are invited for presentation at the Conference. You may like to choose any of the following topics for your presentation;
1. Piping Failure Modes
2. Conflict between Flow and Pipe Stress Requirements
3. Nozzle Stress / Local Shell flexibility
4. Complex Static & Simple Dynamic Analysis
5. Dynamic Analysis Case Study
6. Piping System Vibration and prevention
7. Pipe Soil Interaction of Underground Pipelines
8. Surge analysis for long range fluid transport systems including surge suppressing devices
9. Design of suction and discharge compressor piping
10. Fitness for service analysis and design of piping and pipe support systems
11. In-service inspection of piping systems in operation
Submission of abstracts
Selection of contributions will be based on the review by the Conference Committee. The abstract should be in sufficient detail to indicate the merit of content, the probable participant interest of the final presentation and the relevance of the content to the overall theme of the Conference. Abstracts may preferably be submitted in the electronic file (MS Word and Power Point). A covering letter should indicate the preferable method of presentation.
Deadline for Abstract Abstracts must be received before 30 June, 2008. The secretariat will acknowledge all abstracts. Acceptance will be sent by 31 July, 2008, on receipt of which a brief biographical note (maximum 100 words) of the presenting author will be required for the use of the Session Chair for an introduction to the audience. Presentation Microsoft Power Point is preferable mode of presentation. More information on the details of the presentations will be given to the authors on acceptance of the abstract. Each Presenter will be given 45-60 minutes for presenting his/her paper.
Honorarium to Paper Presentation: The authors of accepted papers will get an honorarium of Rs 2500. Best three presentations will earn additional awards of Rs 25,000/ Rs 15,000 / Rs 10,000 respectively. Proceedings/Publication For papers containing original material, in addition to the Keynote addresses, which are considered to be of particular interest, will be reviewed and will be published in a special issue of CCPL Journal.
